At Grangetown Primary we thrive to encourage our children to enjoy and develop a love for reading. We nurture this love through our daily ‘Book and a Bagel’ sessions. When every child arrives at school they are provided with a delicious bagel to enjoy whilst immersing themselves into a book. This approach supports the development of the children’s reading skills and broadens their knowledge and understanding of rich and creative language used within a variety of texts. We actively encourage all children to read both familiar and unfamiliar texts to continue to expand and enrich their reading experiences with every turn of the page.
