Children picked up and dropped off

Header Clouds

I would like to take this opportunity to remind parents and carers that children need to be picked up and dropped off at the correct classroom doors. We have noticed an increase of parents dropping off their children on a morning at the school office.

All parents should arrive to drop off their children on time and leave the school with their children via their classroom doors. Please only use the school entrance doors when you are dropping your children off on a morning after their registration or picking your children up on a night when their classroom doors are closed. Can I also ask parents not to walk through the school corridor to get to their children’s classroom due to safeguarding regulations, therefore I would like to ask you all to make your way outside around the school yard to pick up your children. I apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

The children’s classroom doors remain open til 9.15am and 3.20pm each day so that it gives all parents enough time to make their way around the school yard to drop off or collect their children. If you are late to pick up your children, then the children will be waiting in the school office area after 3.20pm.

Can I take this opportunity to remind parents of procedures for picking up and dropping off children from Morning Nursery /Kiddiwinkles. If your child arrives after 9.00 am to school or if you need to pick your child up from school before 11.30 am please ensure that you come through the main entrance of the school and speak to Miss McQuade in the Office.

Times are as follows:
8.30 am Doors open
9.00 am Registration
9.15 am All gates are closed
11.25 am Doors open for the end of the session

Any children are not picked up after 11.30am, will be brought up to the school office where parents will needs to collect their children from there.

Due to safeguarding and welfare reasons all gates be must be kept locked during lesson times including the ones at the back of the school.
