At Grangetown Primary School we believe that languages are a lifelong skill to be used for work and for leisure. The study of Languages prepares pupils to participate in a rapidly changing world in which work and other activities are increasingly carried out in languages other than English. Pupils use languages to communicate information responsibly, creatively and without discrimination. We feel very strongly that our students experience the world beyond Grangetown enabling them to get a feel for other cultures, develop tolerance and celebrate difference. We employ an external French teacher, who delivers lessons to all year groups.
